BBY November 2021 Newsletter

Dear Boyne Boat Yard Customers,

Welcome to the newsletter! In an effort to keep everyone up to date on happenings here at the boat yard, we have decided to publish a seasonal(ish) newsletter. Here you will find information on our plans for the coming season, maintenance and repair or refit suggestions, new developments at BBY, and some fun facts about our staff.

We have reached the official end of our haul out season, with the last of the boats getting tucked away just this past week. Now that all of the boats are in the sheds, we will focus on basic mechanical services and inspections for our Annual Service Package, (ASP), customers, as well as send out estimates for work to be completed over the winter. Our aim is never to surprise you with an invoice, so estimates will be provided for just about everything. If you have any work requests, please send them to us in an email (service@boyneboatyard.com) or give RuthAnne a call in the office at 231-582-5239.

We are excited to announce two additions to our team. Nick Hogard has joined as a mechanical technician and Keith Cranick is our new dedicated cosmetic technician. Both Nick and Keith bring great energy to the team, and we will share more about both of them in future newsletters. With these additions to our crew, we are more capable than ever of taking on both mechanical and cosmetic work. Please consider adding a buff and wax to your winter work list. This will not only make your boat shine in the spring, but will protect the finish from the destructive effects of summer sun.

Another service we recommend this winter is a full clean and treat of your canvas. We work with a trusted subcontractor to remove your covers, bimini tops, etc. We give them a full clean and then apply a waterproofing treatment. We will also inspect the covers for necessary repairs and contact you if we find any issues. This process gives you better protection anytime your boat is exposed to the elements and can help extend the useful life of your canvas. As always, if you have any questions or would just like to talk boats please reach out by phone or email. I sincerely appreciate your feedback and suggestions and will work to incorporate them into our future plans.

Thank you for trusting us with your boat!
