Cosmetic Technician / Detailer

THE POSITION: We are seeking a year-round, full-time Cosmetic Technician/Detailer to join our energetic, motivated team. In this role, you’ll be expected to contribute to high-quality marine service and cosmetic care of watercraft. From buffing and waxing to detailing and pressure washing, your work will help preserve and present our clients’ boats at the highest standard.

You don’t need years of experience—just a drive to learn, collaborate, and take ownership of your work. You’ll participate in daily huddles, contribute ideas, and support teammates in all aspects of boat yard operations. A passion for boats and a positive, team-oriented mindset are essential.

PAY: Commensurate with experience, with a range of $18–$26 per hour.

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Perform high-quality detailing: buffing, waxing, and cosmetic upkeep
  • Pressure wash and prepare boats during fall haul-out
  • Inspect, document, and report cosmetic blemishes
  • Support winter storage prep and assist with paint & varnish projects
  • Collaborate on developing and maintaining detailing schedules
  • Maintain and organize tools for job site efficiency
  • Uphold safety protocols and clean workspaces
  • Participate in company huddles and planning meetings
  • Execute tasks independently after proper training
  • Generate leads and support summer cosmetic maintenance
  • Demonstrate leadership in detailing and mentoring others
  • Embrace continuous improvement and a can-do attitude
  • Be flexible and willing to work occasional overtime (1.5x pay rate)

  • Available full-time, Monday–Friday, 7am–4:30pm

  • Physical Demands: Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders etc.
