Boyne Boat Yard, a marine service and storage company in Boyne City, is seeking a full-time, motivated Office Manager for an immediate position.  Seeking a well-spoken, positive, and upbeat individual who is passionate about being organized and likes to work in a fast-paced environment.  This person must enjoy customer service and building relationships with our customers and fellow team members.  We are looking for someone who is willing to help wherever needed and displays a strong willingness to learn our industry if there is no prior experience.  A successful candidate will be able to work independently, stay on task, and take the lead on organizing and managing our office. Active participation in everything from developing solutions for day-to-day challenges to the financials of the business and our monthly meetings is important and expected.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To support Boyne Boat Yard operations by maintaining an efficient, well run, and attractive front office which is welcoming to potential customers or visitors.

  • Occupy the reception area answering all incoming phone calls, screening calls for purpose, answering questions as much as possible, and directing calls to the correct person as required.

  • Receive and screen walk-in visitors, and salespeople for purpose of visit and then direct them as appropriate

  • Keep the reception area neat, clean, organized, and professional looking.

  • Provide excellent customer service

  • Coordinate events, parties, and teambuilding activities

  • Make travel arrangements for team members as needed

  • Assist management as needed

  • Compile, run, and provide data reports to General Manager and Service Manager

  • Assist the Service Writer in writing simple work orders for the team

  • Assist with purchasing marine parts and materials

JOB DETAILS:

  • Full-time, year-round
